Sean Avery - not a fan of leftovers.
Unless you've been living in your mother's basement without cable, (sorry Flyer fans... you know your rabbit ears won't work after February 2009, don't you?) then you've probably already heard the news about Sean Avery and his 'terrible' comments regarding his ex-groupie girlfriend, Elisha Cuthbert and Flames D-man Dion Phaneuf. These comments were enough to get Avery suspended indefinitely until he sits down with Commisioner Bettman later this week. The more I thought about his actions, the more I like them. It's trash talking - and that's something we can relate to. Had he played, he would have either gotten under the skin of the Flames or at least drawn some retaliation penalties. However - Avery needs to get better material for his rants. Sloppy Seconds? This coming from the guy who was banging Rod Stewart's ex-wife, Rachel Hunter, and was listed as a $500 client at Kristin Davis' Maison de L'Amour brothel. If you need some new jabs, please feel free to drop us a line - I'm sure our readers can come up with some stuff for you, Sean.

Very good commentary!! I was like "what's the big deal, really" when my hubby asked me if I wanted to explain "sloppy seconds" to our 7 yr old hockey player. First I said, "he probably already knows" (older brothers, etc) but then I thought, OK, point made. I also wonder why more players and men are upset at this than women. Probably because we are jealous of the "puck bunnnies" ha! Anyway, good perspective. I like your style, even if you hate my favorite team!!
